When deigning my masthead for my school magazine I wanted somethings that was bold, bright and eye catching so looked at fonts that i thought would be suitable. The first font caught my eye very quickly and I liked the effect I put on it but the colour used would of been hard to match on the front cover and on the contents page.The second design I experimented with the effects I could do with a box around it, as I thought this would help draw the readers eye to the magazine. However I can to the conclusion that it wasn't suitable for the masthead. The idea of the lines from the masthead also came from experimenting with the effects that I could put on the text. However I didn't like the colour or font as I personally didn't think it would appeal to the target market.
The third design I loved the font as it was fun. bold and eye catching however i thought it needed something more as it was a little plain, therefore played with the effects and came to the conclusion that is given on the text. It is simple but effective and also could be used for the contents masthead also.
